One-on-one work with Julia Dyer — Steady Self School

Private sessions with Julia Dyer

Give the thread its own room.

Focused one-on-one work for a pattern, practice, or period of change that benefits from direct attention.

Private sessions bring attention training, nervous system education, breath practice, somatic inquiry, and classical contemplative maps into the specificity of your actual life. The work begins with what you bring and develops through practice, reflection, and relationship.

Begin here directly. You do not need to complete a cohort or arrive with a finished explanation.

What brings someone here

Private work begins with the specificity of your actual life.

There may be a single thread you want to understand through practice, or a longer period of change that needs continuity. One-on-one work gives Julia room to respond to what is present rather than teach toward a general curriculum.

01

You can name the pattern clearly, then lose access to that understanding inside the conversation that matters.

02

A transition has unsettled the structures that usually keep you oriented.

03

Your meditation, yoga, therapy, or breath practice is valuable, and you want greater coherence among the parts.

04

You are preparing for a retreat or immersive experience and want to arrive with a steadier foundation.

05

A practice is surfacing material or questions that would benefit from direct guidance.

Inside a session

Bring one real thread. Work with what is actually there.

The specific practices depend on what you bring. Julia may draw from attention training, breath, somatic inquiry, nervous system education, or classical Tantra philosophy. Each practice is given with context and connected back to the life you are living.

First · orient

Name what is present

Begin with the actual situation, what you notice, what you have tried, and what becomes difficult to access under pressure.

Then · practice

Work directly

Use a precise practice or map in the room, with time for observation, questions, adjustment, and direct experience.

After · integrate

Carry one thing forward

Leave with focused practice guidance or resources shaped around the thread you are working with.

The work happens in the session. Its meaning becomes visible in the decisions, conversations, and ordinary returns that follow.

Ways to work together

Choose the amount of structure the thread requires.

You do not need to decide alone. The free clarity call is a brief conversation about what you are bringing, what kind of support would be useful, and whether one of these formats is an appropriate fit.

One defined thread

Deep Dive

$195

One two-hour session

An extended session to orient to what is present, work directly with it, and establish a focused practice or next step.

Useful when: the question is specific and benefits from more room than a standard session allows.

A short practice arc

4-Session Reset

$740

Four 90-minute sessions

A contained series for work that needs repetition, adjustment, and time between sessions to become useful in daily life.

Useful when: you want continuity around a transition, recurring pattern, or practice you are establishing.

A sustained container

10-Session Embodiment

$1,750

Ten 90-minute sessions

Longer one-on-one work for patterns and practices that benefit from depth, continuity, and enough time for the work to develop.

Useful when: the thread has several layers or you want a sustained relationship with practice across a season.

Package payments may be arranged per session, in four installments, or in full. The clarity call is the place to discuss which structure is workable.

A simple way to choose

The scope of the thread suggests the scope of the container.

Specific

One session

A defined question, practice, decision, or preparation.

Recurring

Four sessions

A pattern or transition that needs repetition and adjustment.

Layered

Ten sessions

A sustained arc that benefits from continuity and time.

Questions of fit

What you may want to know before booking.

The clarity call exists so neither of us has to force a fit. It is a short, unhurried conversation—not an obligation to purchase a package.

Can I begin with one-on-one work directly?
Yes. Private sessions can be a direct starting point as well as a continuation of work begun elsewhere. You do not need to complete a cohort first.
What happens on the clarity call?
We talk about what you are bringing, what you are looking for, and what working together looks like in practice. The call lasts 15–30 minutes and is free.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are held online through Google Meet. In-person sessions in Santa Barbara are available by arrangement and can be discussed on the clarity call.
Is this therapy?
Steady Self School offers contemplative education. Private sessions do not replace psychotherapy, clinical care, or crisis support. If what you bring requires a different professional container, Julia will name that plainly.
How do package payments work?
Payments may be arranged per session, in four installments, or in full. The clarity call is the place to discuss the structure that fits the work and your budget.
What if none of the available call times works?
Email Julia at julia@steadyselfschool.com if the calendar does not show a suitable time.
