Week 4
Breath as Bridge
Overview:
In Week 3 we organized the body.
In Week 4 we organize the breath.
Prāṇāyāma is not about dramatic breath manipulation. It is about refining prāṇa — the movement of life force through attention and physiology.
Breath sits at the intersection of structure and subtlety. It reflects mental state, nervous system tone, and internal rhythm.
This week introduces foundational breath practices that prepare the system for meditation. The emphasis is on steadiness, clarity, and regulation — not intensity.
We work with accessible techniques that gather attention and balance activation without strain.
The breath becomes a bridge:
between body and mind,
between effort and ease,
between activation and rest.
Integration Focus:
Throughout the week, notice the relationship between breath and state.
How does your breath change when you are stressed?
When you are calm?
When you are focused?
Experiment gently with simple structure.
Lengthening the exhale.
Balancing inhale and exhale.
Allowing breath to settle without interference.
The aim is refinement, not control.
Organize the breath.
Let the breath organize the mind.
Subtle steadiness is enough.
